Poly Pot Luck w/Poly Educational Discussion and Group Support
Please Email twilight2095@hotmail.com to RSVP and for location address.
Quarterly pot-luck get together for a polyamory educational discussion and support group. If you are new to poly this is a great event to learn more about the lifestyle from those with experience. Feel free to come with questions or just to have a supportive group to whom you can discuss issues you have encountered.
And bring a dish to share :)
We'll try to hold this meeting quarterly and will try to move it to different venues whenever possible. That will provide some variety and also increase the chance that it will be held somewhere near you.
If anyone would like to host, please let us know. It can be a lot of fun.
For those who remember the montly PolyPURPOSE meeting, the format of this get together will be familiar. Generally we start out with introductions and a quick survey of what issues, questions or topics the group would like to discuss. Then we have discussion for an hour or so until people get hungry or have all their questions answered. Following the discussion, we eat and socialize.
Bring any kind of food you like to share and your smile. Since this is a casual event, you can show up as your schedule allows and we will hang out until people are done hanging out. We will provide bottled water and some soda. Feel free to bring wine or beer to share.
We'll announce the actual location when we settle the venue.

Poly Dating: First Meetings with Potential Polyamorous Partners
When meeting someone new, it is often difficult to express what you are looking for in a potential relationship. Polyamory is the dating scene on speed! There will be relationships that last a week, and there will be relationships that last a month; there may be relationships that last for years.
To start out, it will help to identify the type of relationship you are seeking. Next, examine yourself to determine the traits you are looking for as well as deal-breaker traits in a potential partner. The first meetings you have with someone new should focus on how well that person aligns with your needs, discovering the other person’s needs, and assessing whether or not you can communicate well together.
Looking for Phoenix Poly Stories
We want the Phoenix Polyamory Association to be a place where poly people and those they love may share their insights about polyamory and learn from each other.
We are looking for poly stories to put up on our website and share with the Phoenix polyamory community.
We want to observe individual privacy, so please make sure there are no overtly identifying details.
Topics are by no means limited to these, however, here are some ideas to get you started writing!
- How have you found other poly people to date?
- How did you realize you were poly or find yourself in the poly lifestyle?
- What is working or not working in your current poly relationships?
- How do you explain being poly to non-poly people?
- What about raising kids in a poly lifestyle?
- How do you balance multiple relationships, plus work, plus everything else?
- What do you do for dates? What do you do that is unique and insteresting...especially when there are more than two people involved?
